Thessaloniki International Fair 2020/ Thessaloniki Helexpo Forum
The Hellenic Statistical Authority intended to participate, as usual, in the 85th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF), scheduled to be held on 5-13 September 2020, marking also its 60th presence in this international event.
The participation of ELSTAT would be dedicated to the 2021 Population-Housing Census, while at the same time focusing, through its information publications designed and disseminated to the general public, on promoting statistical information, the importance of the Greek statistical data and ELSTAT’s actions for fostering statistical literacy.
It should be noted that ELSTAT had taken all the necessary measures for the safe participation both of its staff and visitors at its stand in the TIF, in line with the appropriate prevention protocols against COVID-19 pandemic. In this vein, all the information material disseminated every year would be, this year, available exclusively in digital format, and the stand of ELSTAT had been appropriately designed to ensure the safety of participants and visitors.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the TIF was annulled for the year 2020, yet all the information statistical publications of ELSTAT are available here:

It should be noted the the President of ELSTAT, Mr Athanasios C. Thanopoulos, was an invited speaker at the Thessaloniki Helexpo Forum, which was held, this year, in the place of the TIF.
