Hellenic Statistical Authority

The President of ELSTAT, Mr Athanasios Thanopoulos, was invited as the main speaker, to the ceremony for the graduation of the students of the Department of Mathematics of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Among others, the President of ELSTAT highlighted the importance of mathematics in the production and compilation of official statistics. Moreover, he made a reference to the post graduate programme of the Department of Mathematics which was recently awarded with the European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) label, with the active participation and contribution of ELSTAT.
