Labour Force Survey is a quarterly sample survey that covers all persons living in private households in Greece. The main statistical objectives of Labour Force Survey is to divide the population of working age (15 years and above) into three mutually exclusive and exhaustive groups - persons in employment, unemployed, and inactive. In addition, Labour Force Survey collects information on demographic characteristics, on main job characteristics, on the existence and characteristics of second job, on educational attainment, on participation in education, on previous working experience and on search of job. Since 2006, Hellenic Statistical Authority (EL.STAT.) publishes monthly results for employment and unemployment using estimates from the part of sample that is surveyed in the corresponding month.
